The Gingerbread Class

Honestly, how cute are gingerbread people?

I thought this would make a child-friendly getting to know you activity for new classes. Children can colour in, decorate and display their own gingerbread person. Great for the start of term. the gingerbread people are resizable.

Reward Clip Art for Games

These are reward clipart images to use in resources such as:
* games,
* good behaviour charts,
* task charts (for example, an image on every fifth square indicates a small reward), or

Pizza Clip Art

Well, the most engaging (and relatable) way I could think of to teach fractions to early learners was to set up a Pizzeria!

Here are some ideas for using this resource:
1.  Print out one pizza per student and get them to cut it up into ever smaller fractions to feed more people (e.g. halves, quarters and eighths or halves and sixths etc);

2. Ask students to roleplay the pizza maker and the customer. The customer has to tell the pizza maker how many people want a piece (if you can source or make pizza boxes, this one really comes to life!);

3. Ask the students to cut out (smaller) pizzas into set fractions (e.g. thirds, quarters, fifths etc). Ask them to  paste them onto cardboard, slightly separated and label the fractions. Then ask the students to write how many pieces that made.

As well as this, you can use the images to advertise fundraisers for your school such as pizza days or harmony days.

A Piece of Cake

This is a set of resources designed to make teaching fractions not only more fun and tactile, but also to make the idea more relatable to everyday events.

The main part of this pack is the images of cake in different fractions (halves, thirds, quarters, fifths and sixths). The images are resizeable, so the kids can cut their cakes up and understand how many pieces they need to feed a set number of friends etc. This gives lessons on fractions a more tactile element. They could even set up a cafe!

There are also resizeable images of a whole cake, a piece of cake and a cut cake to help explain the idea, to use in resources or to use in games and roleplaying.

Smart Girls

This is a resource available for FREE on TPT. It features two resizeable images of smart women in the sciences. They can be used in any of your teaching resources/ worksheets etc.

I made these because I feel we need more images of female scientists and doctors or women working in traditionally male industries in teaching resources, especially women of colour.
