Monsters!

Some cute monsters to teach colours! (Or 'colors!)

These are fun and quirky, to engage students. They also have a lot of detail, so you can expand on them (such as stripes and spots, sad, crazy and happy monsters etc). Ask questions about them or play a game of 'Guess who?'

I have made a set of posters and matching flashcards, all available at tpt in both British/ Australian/ New Zealand and North American English (to account for small spelling differences):

Fun Ways to Teach Vocabulary - Rooms and Furniture

One thing I found learning other languages was just how many words you need just to function - just to live with people, navigate around a room, do the shopping. And just how hard it is to learn a long, disjointed list of words, especially for kids.

As a teacher of English, I know just how necessary and yet potentially boring vocabulary lessons can be, so I have made a set of room cards in a cartoon style to make learning this sort of vocabulary fun, relevant and engaging.

I have one set of all rooms and common furniture with labels, and one without to test them.

I made the set resizable so they can be made into posters, worksheets or flashcards. Cool, huh? Great for ESL or early literacy/ reading recovery. More information and to buy them can be found here:

Pretty darn good for $5 I think! (:

Reward Clip Art for Games

These are reward clipart images to use in resources such as:
* games,
* good behaviour charts,
* task charts (for example, an image on every fifth square indicates a small reward), or
* to make into certificates, badges or cards for positive behaviour reinforcement. They work well as small cards when stickers have lost their a-peel (ba boom boom) and they are quick to hand out (no more fiddling to find the sticker edges).

The images are bright and cute and the images are resizeable.

 They sell for just $1.50 and unlike stickers just need to be reprinted rather than re-bought (:

 These are fun images to add to your science resources, for your students or to sell. They are light and bright and in a simple style to make notes look more cheerful and engaging.

Repeat patterns to make cute borders or put then together to make a scene.

 They are available for digital download for only $1.00.

A Piece of Cake

Copyright 2015 Meg. English
This is a set of resources designed to make teaching fractions not only more fun and tactile, but also to make the idea more relatable to everyday events.

The main part of this pack is the images of cake in different fractions (halves, thirds, quarters, fifths and sixths). The images are resizeable, so the kids can cut their cakes up and understand how many pieces they need to feed a set number of friends etc. This gives lessons on fractions a more tactile element. They could even set up a cafe!

There are also resizeable images of a whole cake, a piece of cake and a cut cake to help explain the idea, to use in resources or to use in games and roleplaying.

I've also included 3 worksheets to get the ball rolling. They should make learning basic fractions a piece of cake (;

You can find this set at https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/A-Piece-of-Cake-Fun-and-Easy-Fractions-1773764 for only $1.80.
